The Sun, Nature and Autoimmune Diseases
The sun seems to have a beneficial effect on our immune system, especially during childhood and preadolescence. In summer, only a few minutes is enough and needs to avoid abuse especially in hours of maximum heat. Being in touch with nature also helps our immune system as well as reduce our stress and fresh air are in contact with flora and fauna (especially insects) different from the usual. The typical small bumps or rashes from touching any plants or insects are a good way, with caution, to “train” our immune system.
Therapies to Our Immune System
Virtually all natural therapies are valid in the autoimmune diseases and that can help us have a better quality of life while avoiding taking many medications. Acupuncture, homeopathy, osteopathy, hydrotherapy, relaxation techniques, etc. are a good complement to milk against these autoimmune diseases.
Vaccines, drugs and excess of childhood infections
If there is one subject that causes controversy is the relationship between vaccines and autoimmune problems. Establish a direct relationship is in general very complex, since the reaction of our immune system by vaccination is not instantaneous, and each case is different. The most important thing is that whenever a person is vaccinated is “strong.” Sometimes it is worth waiting a few days if we have just had an infection or have the feeling that we are incubating something. It is important to talk to your doctor about whether or not to put all the shots and what is the right time.
Another important aspect is to not abuse drugs, especially antibiotics and antipyretics (fever reducing) Above all we must not treat yourself to the first, the doctor is the one who must decide whether to take medication. In general we do not allow our immune system “work” and that prevent us from having even a few tenths of a foot or a minimum of pain. Not have to be masochistic, but it prevent our immune system but act because, among other factors is when altered.
Relax and Reduce Stress
Enough sleep (eight hours) is important for everyone but even more for patients with autoimmune diseases because it helps to “recover” the strength and balance to our body.
Find hobbies, a moment to relax and play sports soft key to our defense.
In all cases we recommend checking with your doctor, therapist or other qualified health provider. The information contained in this article is for information purposes only.
