
Wounds are classified form below:
* Open: It is when there is a loss in the continuity of the skin and exposed tissue. The skin is broken or open.
* Closed: It is when there is loss in the continuity of the skin. It may occur as a bruise.
From the point of view of asepsis, are classified as:
* Clean: It’s caused by a scalpel in surgery, ie during the surgical procedure. It should be borne in mind that these are also regular edges and wounds similar to those caused by a short, sharp weapon.
* Contaminated: These are produced in the street, the home or workplace, ie they can be in everyday life. As in the wound clean edges that are regular in the polluted presented with irregular edges and may be caused by sharp edges of bottle, corroded wires or knives, cans, scraped with pavement, etc..
